Army Seizes Around One Million Captagon Pills in Zouk Mosbeh – Keserwan and Arrests Two Wanted Individuals Following an Exchange of Fire
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Following a surveillance and security operation, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence arrested two citizens (N.AA.) and (L.AA.), in Zouk Mosbeh, Keserwan, on charges of drug trafficking and circulating counterfeit currency.
During the arrest, the first suspect opened fire on the patrol, prompting the soldiers to return fire. He was wounded and transferred to a hospital for treatment. The patrol seized approximately one million Captagon pills, around 60 kilograms of hashish, a military-grade firearm, a hand grenade, and a quantity of counterfeit cash.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and an investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
